That is my One Burning Question, with thanks to Jonathan Wondrusch at grokkery.com.
I don’t have any answers. That’s why I read blogs and tweets, to see if someone out there has my answer. I cannot be the only one!
Every time I’ve been in a situation, or had a feeling, or had to do something that made me uncomfortable, I have been able to comfort myself by saying, “You aren’t the only one this has ever happened to”. And I’ve been right, haven’t I?
So now I write as transparently as I can for each one of you who feels alone. Misunderstood. Shortchanged by life. Howling at the moon that it’s just not fair.
I want to tell you that there is hope, prosperity, good health and well-being for us on the other side of this muck and goo. But we have to go through to get there. We cannot look to a genie to make it happen, or our husband, or the New York State Lottery. We must do the thing we cannot do. We must feel the fear and do it anyway, no matter what ‘it’ is.
This is why I sit down every morning and write. Because it is practice, my practice. The way that I am trying to push through.
Keep moving forward. It is the only way to get there, to where the answers lie.
Go on, you remember Kris Kringle in “Santa Claus is Coming to Town” don’t you? “Put one foot in front of the other . . . and soon you’ll be walking out the door”.
And I will be here, ready to walk shoulder-to-shoulder with you, for as long as it takes.
