This actually should be an upbeat post! I’ve been doing surveys lately, trying to make a buck or two. Last night I got a call after I’d filled out an insurance quote. I have switched my insurance, and saved $50 a month!!!
Aditionally, we are in the process of finding out if we can switch apartments here in the complex. We’d only stand to save about $100 a month, but the trade-off is that this would be to the sunny apartment we had wanted a few months ago. Mind you, there are some hoops to be jumped thru, but we are hoping that our good record here already (plus the fact that apartments aren’t exactly being snapped up super quick around here) will help us make the move. It would coincide with our eldest’s moving out, so there’d be nice dovetailing there. We’ll get th kids and their beaux to help.
The new place was totally redone when the previous tenant moved out. She’d been there over 10 years, so the place will really look good. I saw the kitchen after the renovation – nice!
We’d lose the second bathroom and bedroom, but the bedroom dimensions match the master in the apartment we have now. We’d lose our outdoor storage, but the kids can all take their darned bikes with them. Heck, they can sell them, if they choose. Lord knows DD27 has never even ridden hers, after asking for it for her 21st birthday. We’d have the same physical set up,computer-wise, but might be able to get Dish Network, instead of cable for TV, while maintaining RoadRunner for the Internet. I don’t know if it has one cable outlet, or two.
My head is swimming, and I’m all agog! Maybe things will start looking up for us???
