Yes, it has been a whirlwind several days. My husband had come home sick from work the day of the earthquake, so he was able to reassure me that I wasn’t losing my mind when I said I thought it was an earthquake. DD21 FaceBooked me about it, and DD29 called. Thankfully we were all OK. DD24 and her husband, who were a lot closer to the epicenter, slept thru it. Sigh. . .
Then we prepped for Irene’s arrival. Note to self: batteries, ok? We were very lucky, because we only lost power for about two and a half hours. DD21 and Spud (the grandbaby) were completely unharmed; they never even lost power. They live in a trailer. DD29 and her boyfriend were evacuated. They came up and stayed with us overnight. They were able to return the next day; their corner was the only one of the four at their intersection to be above water and undamaged. DD24 and her husband had been without power for 3 days, as of her phone call two days ago. It will be awhile yet before she comes up to get her remaining stuff. Sigh. . .
Without further ado, here are my remaining Icads for the summer of 2011:
Thanks to Karen Grunberg at http://www.karenika.com for this brilliant quote. Check her out!
I still need to complete my August calendar, and then it’s on to 30 Days of Lists and several other month-long challenges. Don’t forget ReVerb11 and Art Every Day Month coming in November, and so on and so forth.
Get Thee Arting!!
