Today marks the end of NaNoJouMo, aedm 2010, and NaBloPoMo. What have I learned?
Making art is fun!
I have discovered Junque Journals, and started one.
I have learned how to upload photos to this blog and to flickr.
I have discovered new tips, tools and techniques, found new bloggers to follow – mainly artists whose work and words inspire and encourage me and, best of all: I HAVE MADE ART!!!
I was always told that I was not artistic. I devalued the things I made for myself that were art, mostly collages and sticker art. I have discovered that I am NOT defective because I do this. In fact, there are MANY other people who see the world in a similar way.
This month I have bought art supplies just because they pleased ME, and directly benefitted ONLY me; that was hard. Now I just need to set up a space for making art, and remember to MAKE ART everyday!!
so so proud of you!!!
You are gonna go far my girl.. u are well on your way!
Hugs.. I’m coming along for the ride!
xo love you!
YAY for all the great things you learned this month! But *especially* for learning to value the art you make, both the visual kind and the word kind. Hugs –M
Yay for all the wonderful things you’ve learned this month and for wonderful creating!
makes me want to drink alchoholic beverages
Thank you all so much. I am blessed in my friends!
I need to take your advice, what you’ve learned this month, and put it into action in my OWN life. I’ve always been told that I’m not “artistic” or “artsy”, therefore anything I created was immediately trashed in my own mind. I never gave any of my creations credit for what they said about me, and I never thought myself artistic or crafty, in fact I believed quite the opposite.
Art is personal, and no one can say we’re not creators and artists in our own right. Thank you for this post, my dear! It’s much needed.

NICE! What a great reflection on a month well spent!
Hooray for making art every day that makes *you* happy!
